FSI Office recognizes great teachers in North Carolina and South Carolina. Sharon was a December FSI Office Teacher All-Star Top Ten Finalist. As an April All-Star Teacher Wildcard Winner, Sharon is invited to the FSI Office Teacher of the Year and is in the running to receive the biggest FSI Office Teacher All-Star award. Sharon's application was reviewed by the FSI Office Chief Executive Officer. Sharon's impressive work earned her one of the three Wildcard spots.

Gentle Reminder for Parents & Guardians: Please participate in the South Carolina School Climate Survey. The unique survey QR codes were sent home with students on March 18, 2025. The results of this survey will be used in calculating school report cards, and the information given will be used to make school-, district-, and state-level educational decisions. The South Carolina Youth Shooting Foundation (SCYSF) is an organization that aims to provide the youth with a safe environment to participate in the sport of sporting clays. This sport instills life skills of commitment, respect, focus, teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive work ethic to help our youth become productive members of our society.
Ellis Chandler possesses the life skills listed above. Our district congratulates him on winning 3rd place in the Individuals Intermediate Advanced Competition.

Congratulations, Danette McClinton, for being a successful participant in the Emerging Leaders Class of 2024-2025! Today is her last session with Emerging Leaders.
According to the South Carolina ASCD, to be chosen for the class, educators must be passionate and committed to the "Whole Child," a belief that every child in the state of South Carolina deserves to be healthy, safe, supported, challenged, and engaged.
Ms. McClinton is a Master Teacher at Laurens District 55 High School. As a Master Teacher, she leads cluster groups and provides demonstration lessons, coaching, and team teaching to classroom teachers.
Her participation in the Emerging Leaders cohort has expanded her perspectives on education. She has increased her capacity to collaborate effectively and her capacity to enrich the learning environments of our students in Laurens County School District 55.
