School Closures and Plans for At Home Learning

In response to Governor Henry McMaster's plans for dealing with COVID-19, all schools in Laurens County School District #55 (LCSD 55) and the state of South Carolina were ordered to close beginning March 15, 2020, and are to remain closed until April 30, 2020.  

LCSD 55 strives to provide grade-level and standards-based learning packets, online learning opportunities, and other resources to help students continue their education while at home during this time.  

Students in Kindergarten through Grade 5

Students who have a device and access to WiFi may choose the eLearning option at clever.com.  Students who have never logged in will have to select their school.  The student will then be prompted to enter their district username and password.  Once a student is logged in they will need to click on Edmentum and choose Learning Path on the left side.

Students in Grade 6 through Grade 12

Students who have a device and access to WiFi may choose the eLearning option at clever.com.  Students who have never logged in will have to select their school.  The student will then be prompted to enter their district username and password.  Once a student is logged in they will need to click on Edmentum-Courseware.

Click on the appropriate grade level link for printable worksheets that include multiple subjects from a variety of our online solutions, including Study Island, Education City, and Reading Eggs for kindergarten through 8th grade.

Free Grab and Go Meals

Meals will be distributed to those 18 years of age or younger during the school closure. Pickup time is 11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. at every school location in the car drop-off line. LCSD 55 is also delivering meals by bus and serving meals at several other locations as shown below:

WiFi Access and Internet Provider Offers

Revised Schedule for WiFi Buses - Effective 4/27/20

Beginning April 27, 2020, Laurens County School District #55 will be placing WiFi equipped school buses at various locations for students to access the internet and internet-based classroom materials.  Buses will be at the following locations from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  

Laurens Terrace, Laurens Villa, Friendship Baptist Church, Spring Street Apartments, Meadowbrook Apartments, Hilltop/Laurens Glen Apartments.

  • Free WiFi Access on School Campuses - The link will provide maps of areas where WiFi is available in parking areas at each school campus except LDHS.  The WiFi is accessible from inside an automobile. 
The following internet service providers have implemented various offers for families during this time.  Laurens County School District #55 is not affiliated with the services providers and does not endorse one provider over another.  The information is provided as a possible resource left solely to the discretion of the parent/guardian.
