Laurens County School District 55 realizes that not all students learn in the same way, nor do all learners experience success in what we have come to know as a traditional classroom setting.  There are several options available to students in the district.

Earn GED Credentials

Laurens County Adult Education allows students age 17 and older to earn GED credentials.  Operating out of the Laurens County Higher Education Center on Medical Ridge Road between Laurens and Clinton, the program offers classes in several convenient locations throughout the district.  Morning and evening classes are available and depending on the demand, Saturday classes may also be offered.

In lieu of an enrollment fee, students are asked to provide three canned goods for the county food bank.
